Never

Drove for an hour to Borneo heights, Kuching Sarawak last week. It was a beautiful journey as I drive past many areas that are still untouched by any constant march of real estate development.

Arriving at Annah Rais longhouse and looking at the village from far, I can see how
time and memory are connected with each other.
As I stepped on the old bamboos, I see engagement and reflection all over. From the long-lasting bamboos, to kids and the elderly.

Truly, I saw the effect of time at Annah Rais. Looking at the people there, I saw
teachers who reminded us of the past, and how it was to guide us in the future.

It felt good to be here. Met a few friendly people and chatted for a while.
The warm sun on their faces tells you the journey of 100 thousand miles untold of.

I realized as look at each of them. Never
forget. Never ever forget these beautiful people.

Their journey of courage, pain & love they have gone through can be seen clearly in their eyes. Coz their eyes tells you so much wisdom.

Truly, such wisdom and experience supersedes worldly possession and understanding.

Orang Bidayuh

She is known for her hospitality and peace-loving nature.
She is also good at making tuak, or rice wine. She is a Bidayuh. Welcome to Sarawak, Malaysia. Although of the same ethnic group, the Bidayuh speak a number of different but related dialects that to some extent is mutually intelligible.
